A coffin lid meets the base along six angled edges instead of four square ones, so tolerance matters more than on a rectangular box. We cut the lid and base from the same die and allow a small clearance at the shoulder, where the angle changes. We recommend checking the fit on a physical sample before the full run
Wrap paper can lift or wrinkle where it turns a sharp angle. We use a thinner, more flexible wrap on shaped boxes and notch the paper at each corner before wrapping so it folds flat against the board instead of bunching. Velvet and linen wraps need a wider notch allowance than standard art paper.
